Delighted to report that I now own one of the manufacturer improved units; the Skywalker Delta, with enhanced cooling features.
The roaster now has 4 fans at the rear; one new fan specifically for the motherboard and heatsink area which now addresses past overheating issues.

I added a futher fan ( 5 in total) inside the 'coffin' cavity, to further expell any heat, and it also blows cool air over the motherboard and heatsink casing area; view the picture below.
I also separated the rear casing which has the top exhaust fan attached, and extended the exhaust tube from the roaster to the exhaust fan on the outer casing as shown in the picture; the outer casing also has the motherboard and heatsink compartments attached; this means that it's kept cool throughout the roast period; see the photo…

It also has a newer DC motor (not brushless) made in 2025:
Part Number: FT-490GM500-150K

The rear fan housing the heatsink ares now protected with a V shaped lip around it so no moisture can seep inside from the top exhaust fan:

I'm hoping for many months trouble free roasting as the overheating issues have now been addressed; watch this space!
The only 2 components that can go wrong in the future are:
- The Motor
- The Infrared Heating element
