this coffee grinder was designed in 2019 with the expertise of Liechtenstein manufacturer, Etzinger, under Etzinger design name of: MSG, using the same 32mm burr configuration as in the Baratza Sette 270 Wi, and the high-end Etzinger EtzMAX grinders; admittedly, it's not refined enough, and has an issue with retention!
It's not available as grind by weight, only timed dosage using a choice of 3 buttons to set your own dose, although there is a workaround if you're willing to spend £400 on a specially designed la marzocco bluetooth scale which really, is a lot of faff and huge expense.
The auto tamping is touch and go, and it's La Marzocco basket sensitive; other third party baskets may not be polished enough for the auto tamp to cleanly do it's job, and will therefore mess the tamping up!
The grinder is cleverly designed to be split in half, or pushing the top of the grinder to the left so you can use it for filter grinding directly into a paper filter cone!
It's a bulky grinder, and priced at over £2K
*Reports of motor failures are coming to the surface…
